Prayer Lock

Terms of use

Effective October 20, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Prayer Lock app, made by Tinkerers Labs ("we"). By using the app you agree to them. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

The service

Prayer Lock uses Apple's Screen Time to lock apps you choose until you read Scripture in the app. Locking depends on Apple's systems. We work to make locks reliable but cannot guarantee that every lock fires or lifts at the exact moment, for example after an iOS update or when Screen Time access is turned off. Do not rely on Prayer Lock to control access to anything you need for safety, health, work or emergencies; use Emergency unlock, turn off a lock, or remove Screen Time access whenever you need to.

Subscriptions

  • Prayer Lock Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
  • Reading Scripture in Prayer Lock is free and does not require a subscription.

Scripture and content

Scripture is from the Berean Standard Bible, the King James Version and the World English Bible, which are in the public domain. Topical verse lists come from OpenBible.info under a Creative Commons Attribution license.

AI explanations

Optional verse explanations are generated by an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong and are not a substitute for Scripture itself, your church or a pastor.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app or our servers, try to get around subscription checks, or use verse explanations for anything other than personal study.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens because an app was or was not locked. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the effective date above; continuing to use the app means you accept the update.
